Early Partners at The Firehouse

In August 2022, we opened the doors of our brand new facility in the Lower Garden District, originally the home to New Orleans' first fire station. This historic building is now home to nearly 11,000 square feet of space for children to explore and experience, include a massive indoor place space opening up to an exterior courtyard. While just 5 minutes from downtown and 2 minutes from I10, this rare gem has two playgrounds and nearly a city block of open green space where children can run free.

Features of Early Partners' Facility

The Great Hall

This indoor, multi-purpose space is lovingly named for its cathedral ceilings and streaming natural light. Used for inclement weather or every-day play, this space gives our friends room to practice gross motor movement, big building, and large-scale engineering projects.

The Wild Space

We have the rare luxury of nearly a city block of wide-open green space. Our friends call this "The Wild Space" because it is an unplanned space to explore and a space for kids to be wild and free.

Multiple Play Structures

We have three planned play-spaces, including a toddler courtyard with crawler area and rain garden, a large playground with shade (to be installed in October!), a tricycle path, playhouses, and smaller playground.

Special thanks to our partners on this amazing facility!
